I was contemplating this for a long time. Should we forgive and love our enemies as the Christians do? There are just some people who just want to fight and they thrive off the energy. Maybe we need to fight our brother/sister once in a while to get the juices out. But who has the self control to say when to stop and is it to late to bury the hatchet?
Its better to try and love what the other person loves so as to not even get into an altercation. But if you find yourself not being able to do this, just remember this; "This too shall pass". I believe that's from Winston Churchill, a famous author. I know my friend Kevin mentioned this to me and I use it still, till this day. It means people are like the weather. So even if your hurting inside, let it pass over, forgive and love yourself unconditionally is a start. One day you'll be able to apply it to another person in your life, till then, just be yourself and love you! Does that answer the question? I'll get back to this soon but it's something to think about: loving yourself first and then enemies you have should slowly dissipate in your life.
